Law requires OFWs to contribute to SSS
State-run Social Security System (SSS) stressed that the pension fund is duty-bound to implement the mandatory coverage for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

The International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) and the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), have reached an agreement on seafarer basic wages aiming at reviewing the International Labour Organization (ILO) Minimum Wages for seafarers.
